Time for Matt to have some FUN!!!!

Well, let's face it...lately it's been me having all the fun while Matt has to work....but not tomorrow night...tomorrow night it's all about Matt having some fun!

Matt got tickets to see U2 @ UVA's Scott Stadium!!!!

I won't be joining Matt, because I don't really have a clue what U2 sings, they just aren't my type of tunes. So, he is going to be going with some of his fraternity brothers...Danny, Nick and his girlfriend, and Mike and his girlfriend! Then we will host Danny, Nick, and Nick's girlfriend for the evening.

It will be so nice that Matt is able to go have some fun tomorrow instead of just work!!!

Oct. 1 is FINALLY here....almost....close enough!

October is such a fun month!

I mean I'm sure there are lots of great things that happen in October, but there is one that stands out - for everyone I'm sure!

What adult doesn't love completely entertaining their childish side and dressing up in crazy fun costumes and having a party?!?!??

Woo-hoo for one of my favorite holidays....HALLOWEEN!!!!

A box arrived from my parents about a week ago full of "Welcome to October/Halloween" presents, but Matt and I have been holding off opening it for October 1st...along with when the fall decorations (tablecloth, table decorations) get put away and the Halloween one's get taken out!!!

However, October 1st is finally here...almost...well, close enough.....

So tonight we dined on haunted houses and opened all these awesome presents! Our most favorite Halloween/October present is an adorable spider bowl! love it!

Thanks Mom and Dad - what a way to welcome October...and Halloween!!!

Girls Weekend In D.C. with Kristyna and Diana!

Last Thursday, I headed up to Washington, D.C., for a girls weekend! My friend Diana lives in the city and my friend Kristyna, who lives in Chicago and was flying in, were having a girls weekend...just the 3 of us!!! First things first, IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!

Thursday after I arrived, Kory and Diana cooked an amazing dinner! Then Diana and I made a sign for Kristyna and set off for National Airport to pick her up!!! Kristyna's flight arrived on time and girls weekend had officially begun when she stepped into Diana's car!!!!

Thursday night: Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, until early early early Friday morning!!! (Don't judge, it's what girls do!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!)

Friday: Woke up....showered, dressed, hopped on metro, grabbed quick bite to eat at Dunkin' Donuts - and off to the NEWSEUM!!! Diana and I had been, but we both enjoyed it again - and Kristyna who works in the news we knew would love it, and we were right...she loved it! After leaving there dinner, drinks, and convo at R.F.D. Then off on a walking tour of all the monuments/memorials...leaving chinatown where R.F.D. was and headed towards Thomas Jefferson - saw great view of Capitol....then walked to Thomas Jefferson Memorial, then F.D.R. Memorial, then Abraham Lincoln Memorial, then WWII Memorial, then Washington Monument - and passed the White House on our way back to the metro. Then home and talking and sleep.

Saturday: Woke up...showered, dressed, hopped on metro, grabbed quick drink @ Starbucks in Chinatown, watched movie FAME, National Book Festival on the Mall, American History Smithsonian, Rocket Bar (oh my gosh - i love this bar!!!!), metro home, pizza (best frickin' pizza ever is located between Diana and Kory's apartment and metro stop so picked it up on way home), baked cookies, card and board games with all the girls, Kory, and Kory and Diana's friend Neil (he and his wife hail from Bama...whoop whoop)....talking and sleep!

Sunday: Woke up....showered, dressed, packed up, drove to Eastern Market, shopped and ate, met Kristyna and Diana's friend randomly on sidewalk - Brooke - so nice, drove to Georgetown, got cupcakes @ Georgetown Bakery - they won best cupcake place in D.C. and were on the TODAY show (I didn't love mine - I think my icing was cream cheese - hate cream cheese icing! Still waiting on Matt to try the 2 I brought home for him and to give me his opinion), met James for lunch in Georgetown, said goodbye to Kristyna and Diana (they walked around Georgetown - then Kristyna took metro to National and Diana took metro to hang with her brother), drove James back to his apartment in Arlington, drove home to Matt and Molly (took a long time because of storms and bad accident on Interstate 66)!

It was a busy weekend, but so much fun!!! I had a blast with Kristyna and Diana!!!!!

Wedding Guestbook is up!

Well today I had a little time this morning before I leave to go to Washington D.C., for a girl's weekend with Diana and Kristyna....so I decided it was time to take down birthday and put September back up again....

Then I decided since I brought the wedding guest book back from my parents last week and Gwyne and Mark sent the picture dvds...it was time to get the guestbook up as well as some other pictures from our wedding weekend.

So I took the time and did a few this morning. Now it's off to Washington, D.C. for girl's weekend while Matt enjoys some R & R this weekend at home - finally off work this weekend!

GwyneMark Photography!!!!! LOVE THEM!

THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ONLINE!!!!

Before I let everyone know how to get there and how you can view them, I just wanted to thank GwyneMark Photography! In case you don't know, the photographers at our wedding were Gwyne and Mark Owens! Matt and I interviewed/met with Gwyne in August '08. We absolutely LOVED her! I mean we walked out of Starbucks and I could only wait until we got into the car before I looked over at Matt and he said "You love her don't you?" and I replied "I want to hire her!" The pictures she brought to the meeting were phenomenal, she had a package that fit what we needed for the weekend, and I knew that she and I were going to become friends b/c her personality ROCKED! And it's true Gwyne and I became well instant e-mail friends and now talk often! Matt and I had the opportunity to go on a double date with Gwyne and Mark - actually two. The first where I invited Matt and I to go see their new house, the night Matt flew in for the wedding weekend - and the second was at Cantina Laredo the Saturday night we got back from the honeymoon! Matt and I both really like Gwyne and Mark and are so thankful not only for their friendship but also for their talent and amazing photos!!!!

So - here's how you go check them out.

Sunday in Sandestin and heading Home....

Sunday in Sandestin was a lot of work....at least for my mom and I! Ha! Ha! Ha! Seriously, it was a lot of packing the car - which my mom did an AMAZING job!!! I helped a little with the packing and Matt and my dad played Wii!!!

After my mom had the packing thing going pretty much all under control - let's face it, she is the best packer EVER! Matt and I were off to run some errands! We went and did returns - Bed, Bath, and Beyond - Wal-Mart - and Target...then we were off to Paint 'N Place!

Now let me give a little disclosure...Matt and I don't love to do artsy stuff like painting, but well - we did it when we were wedding planning in August '08 in Sandestin and made a plate, decorating it for the engagement...and I wanted to do another one this August ('09) another plate, decorating it for the wedding! Kind of like something we do together to commemorate these major events in our life! Ha! Ha! So we went and did it - we actually had a really good time! The store was deserted except for us!! So nice - and the woman working was great!

Then it was back to my parents house - where Matt and Dad got back to playing Wii and my mom and I finished up packing. And by finished up packing, I mean that we unpacked the Corolla and repacked everything into my dad's truck!!!! With the Corolla fully packed, that still meant shipping all of mine and Matt's clothes and a lot of wedding presents...so my dad offered his truck after we all discussed the idea! EVERYTHING (except for a few things) fit into the truck - it was packed solid! And Matt and Kelly will return the truck to her parents in Alabama in September - and all the other stuff that didn't fit will definitely then fit in her Corolla! SCORE!

That night, Kelly's parents took Kelly and Matt to Flemming's for dinner! It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! And it was so nice to spend time with them! They wanted to take us out before the wedding, but Matt and I asked if we could treat them instead to Bonefish Grill before the wedding to thank them for everything they had done for us! Did I mention that Flemming's was DELICIOUS!

Then it was off to bed to get ready for a long drive on Monday!

Matt, Kelly, and Molly left her parents house at 6:22 am....they stopped in Birmingham and met Kelly's law school friend Robby for lunch at Sonic! It was such an awesome break - even Molly loved it...she slept the next 3 hours on the drive (and Molly sleeping in a car is a miracle!)!!! Matt and Kelly even made the 14 hour drive in 1 day!!!!!!! The arrived at their townhouse in Charlottesville a little after midnight, unpacked the truck (just into the living room), and headed to bed - exhausted...but HOME.
