I think I've killed a 100 trees...

Every time I go through another 100 blank white index cards I think to myself. How many trees did I just kill? Ha! Ha! Ok, wait seriously, I'm not really green friendly, so my first thought is: "Wholly McGuiver, my hand is killing me, I'm so tired of writing!" But today I did think about the trees...I'm not really sure if it was b/c I've used so many note cards or because in general I have missed seeing the trees this week...I used to study outside before this week began....But it's ok, as much as I miss nature, I sure am beginning to love Group Study Room C. I'm even debating on giving it a nickname - I'm open to suggestions for the nickname.

So I thought I'd update everyone with a new picture from my beloved Group Study Room C.

Unfortunately tomorrow after studying I'll have to say goodbye to Group Study Room C as I drive to Roanoke. I hope neither of us shed a tear.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Saturday - you know, the normal kind, without studying, without libraries, without study rooms (even ones you may or may not love).

UVA Law Library - Group Study Room C

Dear family and friends.....In case you've been looking for me (Kelly) lately, I've been located in UVA's law library - group study room C (although one day I was in a different one, but very similar). I thought I would share with you guys what I've been up to.

The pictures are self-explanatory, but since I've decided to take a 5-minute study break, I'll explain them anyways.

1) My notecards. The smaller stack is ONLY Federal Jurisdiction. The larger stack is Wills, Trusts, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Virginia Civil Procedure, Equity, Agency, Partnership, Corporations...and currently adding to the stack Creditor's Rights and Sales. I've still got a few more subjects after those two to add to the stack...Domestic Relations, Professional Responsibility, Local Government, and Conflicts of Laws. All topics I intend to cover between this afternoon and all day tomorrow.

2) View from where I sit.

3) View when you enter glorious group study room C.

4) View of Sign-Up notebook. If you care to open it, you'll see my name on the days followed by the hours I'll be in the room! Normally I just write until 5 so people know I've got it all day (Quite silly how they do it here, it is just first come, first serve for all day long...and you can't lock the rooms...I find that odd...but moving on)...

This weekend is mostly going to consist of taking practice exam tests (multistate), working practice exam essays, and reviewing my notecards.

In case you don't know, the bar isn't located here in Charlottesville. It is held in July in Roanoke. I will be driving to Roanoke sometime Sunday. I will spend Sunday night and Monday night there getting acquainted to my hotel room, the city, and the location where the bar exam is.

The test starts Tuesday at 8 am. Tuesday 8-5 is VA Essay - 9 Essay Questions...well 8 Essay Questions and the last essay Question is 20 short answer questions. Wednesday from 8-5 is Multistate....200 questions in the morning, 200 questions in the afternoon.

So until Sunday, if you need me, check Group Study Room C...

Now, back to Sales.

Matt and I took Molly on a walk this evening when Matt leaned over and told me that in exactly one month we would be getting married at this time (it was then about 7:30 ET)!

The Bestest July 4th EVER!

So, I know it's been a while since Meet the Marlows has posted a blog, but a lot has been going on....I'll do a short bullet list...and then get to the really good stuff!!!

1) Molly is doing GREAT!!!! Stitches came out 1 day early because we all hated the e-collar, and the vet said that the healing looked amazing. They said they could really tell that she had not been allowed to lick!! Woo-hoo to Matt and I for being great pet parents!!! Molly's hair is starting to grow back a little bit but one things is for sure, she is our Molly again! Her activity level is back to where she normally is - always wanted to play!!! She is even running for the frisbee and ball again! So stoked that her recovery is going awesome! As for her liver pills, according to the vet in Florida - she will remain on 2 pills daily until her levels are rechecked in August before the wedding.

2) Kelly's life: My days pretty much consist of class (Barbri at UVA law school) and then going home and studying. I'm not doing super amazing, so the studying will be pretty much non-stop starting next Monday until the Bar (July 28 and 29)...so please don't expect much blogging before then!

3) Matt's life: Matt's days pretty much consist of basketball camps, working with coaches july recruiting schedule, basketball camps, and playstation baseball. The camps are really tiring as he works almost 20 hour days. However, this weekend is a totally different story! He is headed to Atlantic City for his bachelor party!!!!!! I know he and the boys are going to have a blast - and here's hoping that he brings home a lot of winnings from the casinos!!!

Now....onto the really good stuff (just like I promised).....

This July 4th was the BESTEST July 4th ever!!! Why you might ask?!?!? That is because the BESTEST - Elizabeth Stelley - came to visit!!!! She flew in Thursday night at 10 pm. That night was pretty much wii game frenzy. The next day, Friday, Matt gave Elizabeth, Molly and myself a tour of UVA grounds! It was both Elizabeth and Molly's first time on grounds - I'm not sure who loved it more!!! Then Matt and Molly went back home to do some work while Elizabeth and I went to Monticello - you know, Thomas Jefferson (the 3rd President of the US) home! We had a good time touring the property (even though apparently we are not teachers from california and got kicked out of a tour)....Then it was off to the mall for some light shopping! When we arrived home it was time for some more wii, a nap, and then off to Baja Bean for a yummy Mexican dinner and Arch's for yogurt dessert!!! SWEET! Saturday, America's birthday, started off with a trip to the grocery store. Elizabeth and I made her mom's famous dessert for our big BBQ. Then the next thing we knew, after playing some Dance Dance Revolution, it was time to start grilling. We cooked kabobs (fajita steak, teriyaki steak, bbq steak, fajita chicken, bbq chicken, MATT'S OWN DRY RUB steak, and pineapple).....mac 'n cheese....mashed potatoes....It was super yummy!!! Then it was time for naps! After naps we kind of just chilled out at the townhouse - more dance dance revolution and a movie! Sunday started with sleeping in - until almost 10 for some people!!! (not me...ha!)...and then we had just a morning of some errands - returns to Sam's and target. Matt had to go into work, so Elizabeth and I went bowling. The bowling alley is a whole other post - it wasn't as amazing as bowling in Waco with White Lightening (Elizabeth's bowling name) since we got scolded by a woman using the bumper lanes for using her ball - and her kids were horrible....but bowling nonetheless. So then we went home and had a dinner delivered from Papa Johns. Matt came home to pick us up. He took us to Archs first and then off to the airport to drop off Elizabeth. The airport was even better with the woman checking in next to Elizabeth having the cops called on her!!! AWESOME! With hugs and "I'll see you in a month"....Elizabeth left C'ville. It was an absolutely amazing trip and I'm so glad she was able to come!!!!
